British singer, songwriter and producer lottie wears her heart on her sleeve with her intimate lyrics and smooth vocals. A proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, lottie has a unique sound and viewpoint that match seamlessly with the producing expertise of Hangi Tavakoli. Her songs fall into the genres of indie and pop in a way that is distinctly lottie. All of her lyrics are voiced from a lesbian perspective and she wears her pride like a badge of honour.
Taking inspiration from artists like Lorde and BANKS, lottie combines her intimate lyrics with soulful, pure vocals. From bubblegum pop tracks such as Chloe, to more upbeat, sensual songs like Nervous, her library is full of catchy tunes which immediately grab the listener's attention. Melodies that hook you in, and a voice as pure and crisp as freshly washed cotton are lottie’s signature elements.
Originally from Essex, England, she spends lots of time immersing herself in new cultures, having lived in the USA, Switzerland and currently Singapore. Signed to boutique Singaporean label Flipside, lottie works closely with renowned producer and music expert Hangi Tavakoli. The pair have worked together on each of her tracks and are currently working on lottie’s debut album.
lottie studied English and Creative Writing at Royal Holloway, University of London, and her love for literature and poetry clearly comes through in her carefully crafted lyrics. Many of her songs are inspired by novels, poems and films. Most notably, her track How Does It Feel? took inspiration from canonical lesbian poet Sappho and her Fragment 31. lottie was also heavily involved in musical theatre when she was younger, performing in over twenty musicals and trained in acting, singing and various styles of dance.
Her debut single, Chloe, found great success in the Q32 LGBT Music Chart, debuting at number 5. Her work has been featured in various blogs and websites, including Scene Magazine UK, I Dream of Vinyl and MoggBlog. Her songs have also proved popular with playlist curators, appearing in over 300 different playlists. Her first EP, Dance With You, was released in late May 2021.
